"The first day I schooled after listening to your CD, the words came in to my head 'your horse will stand calmly by the mounting block while you mount, etc...' and Cook just stood there...certainly unusual.

Another day, we went for a hack, the first with my friend and her new mare...we passed a field of excited yearlings...The mare was messing around, and Cook bounced sideways on his toes down the road - all 18 hands of him and his powerfully engaged back end! Then, into my head came the words 'I am calm and confident enough to cope with this' like a mantra from nowhere...just keeping my riding position, riding each stride correctly and forward and ignoring the situation.
